Extension to Get Similar Cases Functionality

If closed, what was the close reason and root cause
My desire is if we have a situation where we have a repeating alarm from a customer that for any reason we can't filter upstream, but it happens every hour or so, I would like to be able to look at previous cases for the past XX days and then decide if we should auto-close it in playbook actions or escalate it based on no similar cases or cases below a certain percentage of similarity.
Just an idea, may look at coding this up myself if I have time soon.
